This week, the Clarion got the chance to interview incoming freshman Faith Norstad about her journey from New York to Minnesota. Faith will be majoring in biology and is a puppy raiser for Guiding Eyes.
Q: Where you were born, where did you grow up, and where do you live now?
A: I was born in Batavia, NY and grew up in Marcellus, NY; just west of Syracuse, NY.
Q: How did you first hear about Bethel?
A: I first heard about Bethel through my brother! He is entering as a sophomore, football player, and RA this year.
Q: What made you choose to attend school so far from home?
A: It was actually a really hard decision for me to choose a college that is so far from New York (approx. 1,190 miles). But it ultimately came down to the fact that I could see Christ working through Bethel and their students.
Q: What do you plan to study at Bethel?
A: I am planning on majoring in biology with a concentration in pre-veterinary studies.
Q: Do you plan on playing sports or being involved in music or theater at Bethel?
A: I plan on joining Bethel’s orchestra, I have played the flute and piccolo for 8 years! I am also considering joining theater, maybe not my first year but possibly my second year.
