Carpet is being installed to match the new science hallway.

The Academic Center second floor lounge will be closed today and Wednesday for a carpet update. The lounge and adjacent restrooms will be closed.
An alternate pedestrian path will be available through the new science hallway connecting to the CLC. It is marked with caution tape and alternate route signs.
The carpet will match the pattern used in the new science hallway, interior designer Sandy Dunleavy said. The carpet will also be used in the corridors of the science tower, currently under construction in front of the CLC. The tower is set to be finished by next Fall.
Dunleavy said there will also be new furniture for the lounge this summer.
