Looking to get out in the Twin Cities and enjoy the springtime weather? Here is our list of cheap and free things to do in the Cities this weekend.

  • Final Four Fan Fest
    • Tip off the weekend as you take your steps through the Minneapolis Convention Center a Final Four event presented by Capital One. A sports wonderland of interactive games, special celebrities, athlete appearances, autograph signings and much more.
    • Friday-Sunday 11 a.m. – 7 p.m.
  • Nelson’s Ice Cream Opening
    • The sun is out and spring is in the air, so Nelson’s Ice Cream will be opening both of their locations in Stillwater and St.Paul.
    • Opening Saturday at 11 a.m. (Stillwater) & 12 p.m. (St.Paul)
  • Goldy’s Run 2019
    • Join thousands of runners on the 5K route through the University of Minnesota’s campus or the 10 mile route that runs along the Mississippi River.
    • Sunday 7 a.m. – 12 p.m.
  • Spring Festival, An Arts and Crafts Affair
    • Hundreds of the nation’s finest artists and crafters display and sell their handcrafted works at Canterbury Park. This event was ranked in the Top 100 Shows in the Country by Sunshine Artist Magazine.
    • Friday 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., Saturday 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • SOTA Fitness Workout Class
    • Sign up for a free workout class combined with strength and interval training to create an intense workout that has received hundreds of 5-star reviews.
    • Classes offered from Friday 5:30 a.m. – 6:15 a.m., Saturday 8 a.m. – 11 a.m. and Sunday 9:15 a.m. – 10:15 a.m. 
  • Finding Your Divinity: Dance Class with Deja
    • Join Artistic Director of BLAQ in a weekly dance class. This class uses Traditional West African Dance, social dance, writing and mini dialogue to elevate your sense of divinity and healing.
    • Sunday 3 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.
  • Bethlehem Women’s Ministry Spring Conference: Abiding in Christ
    • Women’s spring conference that will include guest speaker and author Trillia Newbell, focusing attention on Jesus’ call to abide in him.
    • Friday 5:30 p.m. – 10 p.m. and Saturday 8:15 a.m. – 3 p.m.
  • CSFA 32nd Philippine Day
    • Celebrate the culture and people of the Philippines. The largest annual gathering of Filipinos in Minnesota. There will be a parade, food vendors, games and arts and crafts.
    • Sunday 11:30 a.m. – 4 p.m.
  • Free Pottery Throw Friday
    • Dock 6 Pottery hosts a free pottery making experience. Create your very own pottery piece.
    • Friday 2 p.m. – 6 p.m.
  • Dinner, Cappella and Comedy Show
    • Enjoy a student-led cappella and comedy show with a Qdoba dinner. Featuring the following comedians and cappella groups: 7 Days A Cappella, Abby Marose, Ryan Kahl and Comrade Tripp.
    • Friday 5 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. in the North Star ballroom at the St.Paul Student Center
