Bethel University students worship during chapel service, Wednesday Sept. 25, 2024. The “Come and See” Chapel series is a deep dive into the Gospel of John, beckoning students to experience the fullness of the Lord. “For the first time, at Bethel, the entire community is studying the Gospel of John. We’re doing the same thing, talking the same language, pursuing and asking to hear from God using the same content. It unifies our campus in a unique and neat way,” campus pastor, Nick Cocalis, said.

Junior defensive back Devin Williams returns a tipped interception 62-yards, setting up the Royals offense in prime field position early in their 43-0 win over Gustavus Adolphus College Saturday afternoon. The Royals forced four turnovers on defense, with Williams picking off two Sandven passes in a game where they held the Gusties to just 65 yards on offense. “After taking a tough loss to the Johnnies last week, this week was a little more dialed in, had a lot more fun. Day of Movement: a photo essay

Oasis for Orphans club held the Day of Movement in the Sports and Recreation Center Saturday May 11.

Junior Hunter Allison eats spaghetti noodles. He found them inside of a unicorn piñata.
Junior Nathan Mateer shatters an egg with a tennis racket. Every time the group was notified of an additional online donation, they randomly selected names to spin the wheel. Mateer’s spin resulted in this activity.
Students spray senior Amanda Salsberg with silly string. This was a part of her punishment that she spun on the wheel.
Two students paint sophomore Chloe Kallman’s face. Each activity spun on the wheel was photographed and posted on attendees’ social media accounts to raise awareness for the event and promote fundraising.
Senior Ian Snyder and junior Nathan Mateer jump up for a basketball. Various activities were set up around the SRC, challenging students to stay moving for six hours.
Ryken Kreps and Halle Rittgers demonstrate a falcon punch as a part of an acting activity. Bethel’s improv comedy troupe the Intelephants led the event attendees.
Senior Amanda Salsberg plays a round of Spikeball between other scheduled activities.
Junior Hadley Rittgers writes a message for members of the club to read next year. A prayer corner was set up in the SRC lobby for students to step aside and pray for the two kids the club sponsors: Esther and Clintone.

Nelson Hall Resident Director Kendall Engelke Davis looks over to see what Resident Assistant Chloe Smith paints. For her weekly 8 p.m. staff development meeting in Nelson Shack April 16, Engelke Davis held a watercolor event to relieve stress. “It’s a unique opportunity to get to really invest and be in [RAs’] lives,” Engelke Davis said, “which I consider such a privilege.”
