Bethel Ultimate Club

Is throwing a regular, spherical ball just too easy for you? Do you have fantasies about throwing dinner plates? If you said yes to either of those questions, the Bethel Ultimate Club is for you. No experience is necessary and everybody is welcome. Practices are Mondays and Wednesdays at 4:30 p.m. Students who are interested can fill out this form: www.tinyurl.com/bucinterest

Host a high school student

Bethel’s Youth Theology Institute is looking for sophomores and juniors willing to host a high school student the night of Friday, October 8. The job entails hanging out with the student, providing a spot to sleep and sharing your Bethel experience. If the high schooler forgets about AP classes, the pacer test and devious licks for one night, you probably did a good job. Those who participate will receive a $25 Target gift card. If interested, use the host information form.

Artwork needed for President Ross and Annie’s Christmas card

Michaelangelo has his legacy painted on the walls of the Sistine Chapel. Da Vinci’s Mona Lisa is the most recognizable work of art on earth. But you have an opportunity for something far greater. President Boss Ross and Annie Allen want to feature student artwork on their Bethel Christmas card. The theme is “The Star of Bethlehem—Fall on Your Knees,” and all students are welcome to share their work. Submissions are due this Wednesday. Images and scans of artwork can be submitted here.

COVID-19 vaccine available Fridays in Health Services

Health Services has doses of the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine available for all community members and family members 18 and older. In order to minimize waste, vaccine administration will be limited to Fridays. Scheduled appointments are preferred, but walk-ins are also accepted. For the time being, these vaccines are being administered in injection form. But currently, I’m backing a scientific venture to create vaccines in the form of Danimals smoothies.

Bethel Alumni marketplace

Don’t miss the chance to shop at alumni business during homecoming! You can shop in person Saturday, October 2 from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. on the CLC lawn or online. Not only is this a great way to support alumni, but a portion of your purchase will go to the Bethel Fund. This also presents itself as a great opportunity to rationalize and justify your retail therapy. You can even learn more about the sellers and products before you shop.
