Bethel News

  • Controversy has sparked over the rock in Kresge Courtyard. Two differing groups have spray painted the rock in the past week with messages such as “Black Lives Matter” and “Blue Lives Matter”in response to recent shootings in the US.
  • Drop by the underground today from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. to take part in the homecoming banner competition. Hit the Robertson Center gym at 7:30 p.m. for the men’s dance competition. Doors open at 7:00 p.m.
  • Thursday is National Coffee Day featuring $1 coffee at the 3900 Grill and Royal Grounds.

Local News

  • Isaac Kolstad, former Minnesota State University, Mankato football player, was attacked at a Mankato bar in 2014 and suffered traumatic brain injuries. Kolstad is now suing the two men who attacked him, according to the StarTribune. Read more here.
  • No construction start date has been set for the Major League Soccer stadium in St. Paul, according to the Pioneer Press. The stadium was supposed to hold games beginning in 2018. Read the full story here.
