Atmosphere:
Homework or social: Both — having said that, many people attempt to do homework in the BC, but most find that it is unlikely to accomplish anything unless equipped with headphones and a convincing “in-the-zone” face.
Seating: Tip No. 1) If you see an open table, run to it or someone else will take it.
Tip No. 2) Find someone you know and sit with them.
Music: Use spotify on your own computer. Again, don’t forget your headphones!

Parking: If you are lucky enough to have a car while living on campus, hopefully you already have a parking pass through Bethel Security and your car can stay parked for the majority of the day. If you’re a commuter, good luck.
Overall experience: I like the idea of using my meal plan to its full potential so if I have to sacrifice and get a couple extra lattes throughout the week to spend money that I already gave to Bethel, I’m going to do it.
Every Monday morning, The Clarion will be posting a review of a coffee shop in the area. As many students on campus use their meal plan to get coffee, it seemed only right that we start off the year reviewing our very own Royal Grounds. Royal Grounds will be our starting point for comparison as we travel around the St. Paul and Minneapolis area to drink more coffee than needed.
